Who is Tim Wheeler
With degrees from three institutions hanging on his wall (Western Michigan, Villanova, and Northwestern), Tim Wheeler is living proof that the entrance requirements used by higher education are in need of review.
His humor has appeared in AmericanWay Magazine (the in-flight magazine for American Airlines) and America West Magazine, which, as luck would have it, is the in-flight magazine for America West Airlines. Fearing that he was only funny at 33,000 feet, Tim searched out some terrestrial publications as well: The Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel, The South Bend Tribune, Phoenix Magazine and more have all published his humor. Very few report any lingering side effects.
Obstructed View, a humor column, appears monthly in Women’s Lifestyle Magazine and weekly in the Grand Haven Tribune. Obstructed View Radio can be heard weekly on several radio stations, including WGHN in Grand Haven and WLBY in Ann Arbor. Additionally, his writing for commercial radio has received over 130 national and international advertising awards. Not bad for a guy who still thinks Sudoku is the giant turtle that fought Godzilla.
“A small few possess the rare combination of qualities that bring out the best in all contributors and result in the most effective end product. Tim Wheeler is at the top among those few.”
“In 20 years in radio sales and station management, Tim’s radio creative, which may be the only media I’m not to judge, although certainly not the only brilliant work he’s done, is far and away the best creative and most effective creative for radio that I have ever heard. His ‘range’ is ridiculous. Really, no one that I’ve ever heard has Tim’s capacity to move you to tears in 60 seconds with one ad, and then have you laughing so hard in the next 60-second ad that you have to replay the commercial.”
